New Features
- #35 Refactored ModBonusMiningLevel and Config to support configurable boost amounts (up to a maximum) and stackability of diamond/emerald modifiers, replacing the fixed three-option system. - @LazyFlesh
- Added: Configurable harvest level boost amounts, Support for stacking multiple boosts
- #32 Enhanced LevelingEventHandler to check for weapons in the Backhand slot (via ModSupportHelper) in addition to main and off-hand slots. Updated dependencies.gradle to include Backhand as a dependency. - @thehoblit
- Added: Backhand slot support for ranged weapon XP, Backhand as a dependency
- Fixed: Ranged weapons not gaining XP in Backhand slot
- Closes GTNH#21602
- #24 Added Config.allowFakePlayerLeveling (Leveling category, default true) and Config.headsFromFakePlayerKills (Heads category, default false). The FakePlayer checks in LevelingActiveToolMod, LevelingEventHandler (onHurt, onUseHoe) and MobHeadHandler now depend on them. The PR body says both default to false, but the diff sets leveling to true. - @ThePixelbrain
- Added: config option for tool leveling by fake players, config option for mob head drops from fake player kills
Changes
- #25 Updated assets/iguanatweakstconstruct/lang/ru_RU.lang (+141-28). The diff was not included, so the exact keys are unknown. - @Eldrinn-Elantey
Balance
- #27 Modified LevelingEventHandler to cap weapon XP gains to the actual damage dealt rather than full damage including overkill. - @thehoblit
Bug Fixes
- #41 ClayBucketMilk.onEaten now passes a vanilla Items.milk_bucket ItemStack to super.onEaten. curePotionEffects only accepts the vanilla milk bucket as a curative item by default. - @Angry3vilbot
- Fixed: Clay milk bucket not clearing potion effects
- Closes GTNH#25962
- #39 ReplacementLogic.getResultingModifierCount replaces hasExtraModifier and computes modifier changes from whether the tool was and is uniformly magical wood (head and handle magical wood, other parts magical wood or wood). handleMaterialTraits now takes the tool and part type. Adds an Extra Utilities compileOnly dependency and an extraUtilsLoaded flag. - @tiffit
- Added: HandleMagicalWood config option in the part replacement category
- Fixed: magical wood modifiers not added or removed on part replacement
- Migration: A tool you part-swapped on 2.8.4 may keep a slightly wrong free-modifier count. Do not re-craft it: a rebuilt Tinkers tool loses its level and its applied modifiers, and the update does not touch existing tools.
- Closes GTNH#9452, GTNH#25825
- #38 ModBonusMiningLevel.gemBoostedLevel now takes the ItemStack and reads the InfiTool tag itself. It restores the old bronze (redstone) head +1 gem boost logic and only applies the pickaxeBoostRequired max level reduction to Pickaxe and Hammer items. OldToolConversionHandler passes the stack. - @LazyFlesh
- Fixed: incorrect data warning on ported old tools, wrong max mining level on non-pickaxe and non-hammer tools, bronze-level pickaxes with emerald reporting as broken
- #36 Updated OldToolConversionHandler and ModBonusMiningLevel to correctly validate tools with the new boost logic, ensuring harvest level caps and requirements are properly enforced across different tool types. - @LazyFlesh
- Fixed: False warnings for valid gem-boosted tools, Incorrect max harvest levels for non-pickaxe tools, Tool conversion validation with new boost system
- #34 ModSupportHelper.Backhand now calls Loader.isModLoaded("backhand") instead of "Backhand". - @thehoblit
- Fixed: Backhand compat never enabling because of the wrong mod id case
- #30 ModPartReplacement.canModify returns false for AmmoItem when max ammo differs from current ammo, since durability lives in the "Ammo" tag rather than "Damage". ReplacementLogic now writes the XP and boost XP tags as longs instead of ints. - @Krepyn
- Fixed: ammo weapons having parts swapped instead of ammo replenished
- #28 LevelingEventHandler.onHurt now computes xp as min(damage dealt, mob prevHealth) for every tool. Non-weapons get round(xp/2) with a floor of 1, replacing the old (amount - 0.1) / 2 formula. The animal reduction now uses rounded division with a floor of 1. - @thehoblit
- Fixed: Non-weapon tools gaining XP from total damage instead of damage dealt
