Field Engineer's Toolbox
A single-item replacement for the IC2 toolbox, which can no longer be crafted. It has dedicated slots for the seven core GT tools, a battery slot and six generic slots. Press Pick Block while holding the toolbox to open a radial tool menu (or, when looking at a block, to jump straight to the right tool) without ever taking the tool out; where more than one tool fits, pressing again moves to the next. It also stands in for a screwdriver in the shapeless recipes that switch a bus or hatch between input and output, and that conversion is free: the box comes back with nothing spent, whatever tool is selected in it.

Tool Revamp
Wire Cutters, Electric Files and Jackhammers now come in LV, MV and HV versions, each craftable with a Lithium, Cadmium or Sodium battery of its tier. The Soldering Iron takes any of the three batteries as well. The new Wire Cutters and Files replace the GT++ Automatic Snips and Angle Grinder, which are deprecated and can no longer be crafted. Tool heads now use their material's texture set, with custom textures for exotic materials such as Infinity and Draconium.

Bubble Columns
Bubble columns work as they do in modern Minecraft: soul sand under water carries you up, a magma block pulls you down. They are on by default now instead of behind the experimental config, with the particles and the bubbling sound.

GuideNH In-Game Guide Framework
G opens a guide inside the game: Markdown pages that carry NEI recipes and 3D multiblock previews, with bookmarks, history and search across them. Holding G over an item in your inventory jumps to its page when the guide has one. Pages can hold Mermaid flowcharts. Quest text can link straight to a guide page. The first time you open it, a welcome popup says what it is and how to use it; it comes once, and the Welcome Popup switch in the GuideNH config brings it back. The login message names the guide as well.

ChromaticTooltips Tooltip Overhaul
ChromaticTooltips now draws the pack's tooltips: attack damage, durability and other attribute stats, and enchantments, show with icons beside their values. Each of these parts can be set to always show, show only with advanced tooltips (F3+H), or stay off, and F3+H also shows the item or fluid ID. The look comes from JSON themes in resource packs, and a pack can ship the theme for one kind of tooltip and take the rest from the packs below it. Waila's overlay gets its own blue theme from ChromaticTooltipsCompat.

Shipped in 10 pull requests
- Change ModInfo to Italic-Blue (ChromaticTooltips #4)

Full Color System
Text can now take any RGB color through &#RRGGBB codes, plus gradients (&g), rainbow (&q), wavy (&z) and upside-down (&v) effects and a drop shadow per segment (&u). The & forms of the classic color and format codes work too, such as &c for red and &l for bold.

The codes turn into color as the text is drawn, so they work wherever text shows up: chat, signs, anvil names, quests and more. Each effect has its own switch on the Text Effects page of the video settings.

Freecam Mod Backport
Freecam, a backport of the modern mod, detaches the camera from your character on F4, with creative (drifting) or static movement and four collision modes from full down to noclip. Holding F4 and pressing a number key opens that numbered camera, which keeps wherever you leave it until you quit the world. The mouse wheel sets the flight speed. Fullbright and the removal of water and lava fog are config options, off by default. A server that has the mod can pin everyone to one collision mode or switch freecam off outright. Skies, billboards and overlays in Galacticraft, Twilight Forest, EnderIO, GregTech and other mods follow the detached camera instead of the player.
Shipped in 24 pull requests

Pam's Harvest the Nether Replacement
Fether replaces Pam's Harvest the Nether item for item, with new textures. A world from 2.8.4 converts its Harvest the Nether crops, trees, beds and quartz gear to Fether on load. It also adds Weevils, which drop from infested Nether Wood. There is a hidden easter egg in there somewhere.

Modern Tab List
The TAB player list now uses the 1.12.2 layout: player heads, a ping number next to the signal bars, and as many columns as it takes for up to 80 players. A header and footer sit above and below the list, set by the server in the ServerUtilities config. Proxy servers can also push custom display names, a suffix after each name, and the sort order via plugin channels.

Shipped in: ServerUtilities #298
Aspect Recipe Index
Aspect Recipe Index replaces Thaumcraft NEI Plugin and TCNEIAdditions as the mod that shows Thaumcraft recipes in NEI. It has handlers for arcane crafting (shaped, shapeless and wands), infusion including runic shielding augmentation, alchemy, aspect combinations and the items that contain an aspect, and it shows the research each recipe requires. Every aspect has its own item in NEI, whose uses list the recipes that take that aspect. The Arcane Crafting Terminal's NEI fill button and FindIt's aspect search work with it.

256A Dynamo Hatches UV-UXV
New 256A Dynamo Hatches are now available for UV-UXV tier multiblocks, so you no longer have to plaster an Active Transformer with 64A hatches to get the power out. Multi-amp energy and dynamo hatches now cost a tier-appropriate molten metal at every voltage tier instead of flat Silver, Electrum or Tungsten.

Enchanting Automation
The Thaumic Bases Overchanting Table, the Draconic Evolution Disenchanter and the EnderIO Enchanter can now run without a player. All three take items from hoppers and pull experience from Automagy XP jars or EnderIO XP Obelisks within eight blocks. The Overchanting Table and Disenchanter start on a redstone pulse; the EIO Enchanter crafts when a hopper pulls the finished book, and a comparator reads how many ingredients sit in its second slot.

The Little Chisel's modes and shapes
The Little Chisel gained four placement modes - Normal, Fill, Overwrite and Stencil - and twelve shapes alongside the plain box: slopes, round slopes, straight and rounded inner and outer corners, triangles, pillars and a deformed box whose corners you move one at a time. Its menu previews every shape with the chosen block's texture. Chiselled shapes, and recipes made from them, can be rotated and flipped without losing their geometry.

Tinkers' Construct
Two modifiers from Tinkers 2, Expander (Horizontal) and Expander (Vertical), widen the mining area of a hammer, excavator, lumber axe or battleaxe by one block on each side of their axis. Tool stations and forges now apply a modifier as far as the items allow in a single craft. The crafting station gained a dump button that sweeps the grid into the attached inventory, and shift-clicking an ingredient sends it back to the connected chest it came from. Tool stations, part builders, pattern chests and stencil tables are now ore-dictionary tagged, so quests accept every wood variant.
check your build - TinkersConstruct #279. The steps are on the Before you update page.

Circuit Computation Singularities
Added fifteen Computation Singularities, one per GregTech voltage tier from ULV to MAX, and a Blank Computational Singularity that each of them is built on. A sixteenth, ERV (Error), is in the game but hidden from NEI until temporal mainframes are added. The Robotic Singularity is now the Arithmetic Singularity: the Extreme Crafting Table combines it from all fifteen and the blank, and it goes into the Stargate Controller.

Fluid bars in Waila tooltips
Fluid tanks in Waila now show a bar filled to its level with the fluid's texture, with the amount, capacity and fluid name written across it. GregTech's Quantum and Super Tanks draw it. WAILAPlugins draws it for every other block with a standard fluid tank, and shows an empty tank as an empty bar instead of leaving it out. A vanilla furnace shows bars for its remaining fuel and smelting time.
Shipped in 12 pull requests

Matter Manipulator
The Matter Manipulator copies more of what it meets. OpenComputers parts: APUs in Quantum Computer racks, EEPROMs with their data, loot floppies and the Transposer, with OpenComputers blocks pasted facing the right way. Forge Multiparts, including Project Red's red alloy wire and gates, which keep their rotation and configuration. Carpenter's Blocks, with their orientation and covers. Thaumic Tinkerer's Dynamism Tablet, keeping its facing, its left-click setting and its inverted redstone mode. Forestry woods, AE2 Ultimate Patterns, and an AE cell's fluid partition and Cell Restriction limits.

Cable Mode reaches OpenComputers cable as well. GregTech rebuilt its ME output hatches this cycle and the manipulator keeps up with them: copying one and emptying it works as it did.
Shipped in 14 pull requests
- Allow OC APU and Floppies to be copied (MatterManipulator #71)
- Use Correct Orientation for OpenComputer TEs (MatterManipulator #48)

Advanced Copy Options
Copy Mode's radial menu has an Advanced Options submenu of toggles for AE2 builds. Wireless connectors in the copy re-link to their partners at the destination, and optionally to hubs outside the copied region.

On the MKIII, Crafting Input Buffers come back as Crafting Input Proxies pointed at the original, so every copy works off the one buffer's patterns. ME Interface parts that hold patterns come back as P2P ME Interface output tunnels. The original interface is swapped for the matching input tunnel, with its patterns moved into it, so every copy routes through the one set of patterns.
Shipped in: MatterManipulator #40
Any colour of AE cable will do
A copy that calls for a coloured AE cable takes any colour of that cable you are carrying: blue smart cable in your inventory pays for the red smart cable the copy places. An Ender Chest or Ender Tank goes the same way, so any frequency in your inventory pays for the one in the copy.
Shipped in: MatterManipulator #72, MatterManipulator #78
Edit Transform in every mode
Every mode now has the Edit Transform window that Copy Mode already had. It sets the region's corners by number and shifts the whole region, so changing a selection no longer means marking it out again. Cable Mode and Geometry's cylinder get a window of their own; Exchange Mode and the other Geometry shapes share a cube window.

Move Mode's window also carries a Swap Region button, which swaps where the region is cut from with where it is pasted.

Spray cans for Ender Storage and Project Red cables
GregTech spray cans, regular and infinite, dye the colour stripes on a placed Ender Chest or Ender Tank, one stripe per click. The Infinite Spray Can picks up the colour of the stripe you middle-click. Spray cans also recolour Project Red insulated wires and bundled cables, and Spray Can Solvent turns a bundled cable back to uncoloured.

Thaumometer hint text for addon aspects
Forbidden Magic, Magic Bees, Thaumic Boots and Avaritia now give their Thaumcraft aspects a short description, such as "the fires of hell" for Infernus or "the flow of time" for Tempus. Thaumcraft prints it in the Thaumometer's "To understand this you need to study ..." message when a scan needs that aspect as a component and you have not discovered it yet.
Shipped in: Avaritia #66, ForbiddenMagic #21, GT5-Unofficial #5256, MagicBees #57, ThaumicBoots #45

Small item icons in Waila tooltips
Waila can now draw an item's icon at half size on the same line as text. GregTech machines use it beside the items and fluids they list, and beside what a running multiblock is producing.
Shipped in: waila #75, waila #58
Blocks to build with
Red sand and red sandstone have the full set of GT recipes now - macerator, compressor, engraver, thermionic fabricator - at parity with the ordinary kind. Stripped logs turn into planks, cobbled deepslate macerates straight to deepslate dust instead of being smelted first, and the Assembler makes blackstone from cobblestone and molten black granite, which a Chemical Bath of molten gold gilds.
Biomes O' Plenty wood has fences and gates, dead wood has a recipe, and the fences carry the ore-dictionary tags that let other recipes accept them. Twilight Forest nagastone, castle bricks, castle doors, deadrock and clouds gained Chisel variations, and giant blocks and mazestone come out of the Assembler. There is also a sulfur block that compresses and macerates, meant for the crop mod.
Nine metal bars are placeable blocks now and all of them were retextured, while ten decorative bars that no recipe used are gone; any you are holding disappear on first load.

Food and farming
Dirt chisels into farmland and fertilized dirt into its tilled form, so the ground a farm stands on can be made in bulk like anything else. Potatoes macerate into flour, as they already grind into flour in a mortar and pestle. Two Harvestcraft recipes take boiled water: the boiled egg needs it, and it crafts back into fresh water.

Thaumcraft recipes and research
Some GT++ materials carry aspects now, so a Thaumometer reads them and Aequalitas, Vesania, Primordium, Astrum and Gloria no longer mean farming wisps. The Apprentice, Archmage and Eldritch Striders augments are Thaumcraft research, and each also has a recipe that turns the matching traveller boots into it. The infusion matrix has a second recipe, and the Warding Focus stays in the arcane crafting grid instead of dropping out after every craft of warded glass.

The pack's own music discs
The pack has four music discs of its own: Primal plays Flora, Cosmic plays Absolute Zero, Technological plays Sweet Dreams and Tasty plays Lunch Break. The first three are the title-screen songs. Each disc is pressed in a Forming Press from a Blank Music Disc and ingredients tied to its song, from blue orchids and ice for Flora up to a UMV recipe with Universium for Sweet Dreams. Vanilla music discs press from a Blank Music Disc too, with two dyes and an item, and the blank is made from the record fragments a Forge Hammer breaks any disc into.

Things the Assembler can make now
Compasses, Engine Intake Casings and Project Red Illumar Buttons in all sixteen colours can be made in the Assembler. Watering cans come out empty, or already filled when the recipe is given water. Vanilla and Et Futurum boats are assembled from plank covers and a circuit, and a chest plus a boat makes the matching chest boat. Industrial Tinted Glass in its twelve new colours has the same Assembler recipe as the four greys.
The EV and UIV compressors, the Industrial Compressor and both Implosion Compressors can be assembled as well as crafted. ULV to MV dynamo hatches and the ULV energy hatch take their lubricant as fluid in the Assembler, so an AE2 pattern needs no lubricant cells. Vanilla stone tools, which had no recipe at all, can be made at a crafting table or in the Assembler. The new GT Network Analyzer and Super ME Replenisher are crafted at a crafting table.

Recipes added across the pack
Recipes the pack added where there were none, or where the only path was a crafting bench.
Circuits and machine parts
- A Planck-scale circuit, the highest tier there is, for UXV+ recipes.
- Four new power IC tiers, FPIC, APIC, ZPIC and YPIC, cover UEV to UXV, and APIC takes over from the pico wafer in the Nanochip Assembly Complex. The APIC, ZPIC and YPIC wafers are cut in a Laser Engraver with a lens, not in a Cutting Machine.
- Coated circuit boards, the ones 1K AE2 cells want, have a Chemical Bath recipe beside the bench craft.
- The UMV and UXV Buck Converters have Assembler recipes.
- The ME Storage Reshuffle and the ME Crafting Diagnostic Terminal gained recipes. A P2P Interface, Dual Interface P2P or fluid storage bus crafted on its own comes out with its settings wiped.
- The new Chaos Locator, which warps you to areas of extreme entropy, is made in the Extreme Crafting Table from chaotic dust. Macerating a chaotic core is a second, expensive source of that dust.
Materials and processing
- Tuff dust compresses back into tuff, like Endstone, Netherrack and Stone already did.
- Coloured glowstone from Extra Utilities macerates at the same rate as the ordinary kind.
- Styrene-Butadiene Rubber works beside silicone rubber for Thermal Cloth and all four Thermal Padding pieces.
- Two Assembler recipes make wood planks with higher-tier glues.
- Turpentine, mead and Extra Trees wood polish have machine recipes, and a Biomes O' Plenty hive extracts into honey.
- An OpenBlocks sponge bathed in yellow dye becomes a vanilla sponge.
- Et Futurum's cornflower, lily of the valley and wither rose give blue, white and black GT dye, and Galacticraft parachutes take any ore-dictionary dye, in any colour.
EnderIO and Thaumcraft
- A Soul Infused Medium fluid lets the Autoclave make the EnderIO items that otherwise need a Soul Binder and soul vials.
- The Bacterial Vat took on the EnderIO Vat recipes, and potatoes autoclave into poisonous potatoes.
- All six apprentice aspect rings upgrade at the Arcane Worktable with thaumium plates.
- The Potion of Blissful Oblivion has an arcane recipe. It clears all warp, and all Thaumcraft research with it.
Space and the odd corner
- The Space Shuttle schematic and the planet recipes accept every ore variant that generates naturally, and the Toxic Everglades tiny planet can be assembled instead of spawned.
- The Solidifier Hatch takes its mold from a phantom slot that cycles through the molds on click, armour molds included.
- EFR barrel upgrades can be made at a Workbench as well as the Assembler.
- Nuclear Control's howler alarm has two more sounds: Klaxon 2 and the Stargate evacuation.
- Three endgame recipes - the DTPF's Dark Matter, the Waterline casing research and SG Crystal dust - take containment units where they used to take particles.
The dreamcraft molds and the Pico Wafers were retextured to match the rest.

Machines draw their work area
A button in the Ore Drilling Plant and Fluid Drilling Rig GUIs outlines the machine's work area in the world and numbers each chunk in the order it is worked. On the Ore Drilling Plant the numbers are coloured by whether a chunk is done, being mined or still to come. On the Fluid Drilling Rig they show which chunks still hold the fluid it pumps.

New chemistry routes
Diluted acid can be dealt with chemically instead of by redoing a distillation: diluted hydrochloric acid neutralises with sodium hydroxide into salt and water, and diluted sulfuric acid can be concentrated again in the Large Chemical Reactor. Calcium chloride and calcium fluoride electrolyse straight from their fluids. Lithium chloride goes from dust to fluid without the furnace step in between. The acetic acid to acetone recipe in the Large Chemical Reactor accepts quicklime or calcite as its catalyst, not only calcium.
Boron trioxide has a route from pure boron. Jade dust autoclaves into jade gems, so the jade that Stargate Amalgatite needs no longer has to be mined out of the Twilight Forest. Olivine with distilled water makes asbestos renewable, which was a soft lock in a world generated without it.

Middle-click an item to set a tool
The Little Chisel, the Matter Manipulator and the Hologram Projector take their target from an item in a GUI: hold the tool on the cursor and middle-click the item in your inventory or in NEI. The Little Chisel takes it as its block, so NEI bookmarks work as a block palette you do not have to carry. The Matter Manipulator sets a block or a replace target from it, AE2 terminals included, so an exchange whitelist can name a block you have none of. The Hologram Projector sets a channel from an indicator item, or from an indicator block in the world with the projector in hand. Shift+middle-click clears all its channels after a second press to confirm.

Second InGame Info XML overlay layout
The InGame Info XML Toggle Overlay key now cycles through three states when a second layout file exists: the main overlay, the second overlay, and off. The second layout goes in config/InGameInfoXML/InGameInfo2.xml. Without that file the key turns the overlay on and off as before. The key has no default binding; set it under Controls.
Shipped in: InGame-Info-XML #37
The Little Bag
The Little Bag holds LittleTiles building material: whatever goes in comes back out as the materials it is made of. Tiles that do not add up to a whole block show as a Tiles item behind their material. One bag holds up to 200 different materials by default, a limit set in the config, and 640 blocks' worth of material in total.

GT5-Unofficial
#5611 Cover tab button now closes when clicked again. - @danyadev
#5186 Allows players to own and switch between multiple custom capes using a
/capecommand, with selection saved to config and validated server-side. - @glowredman#6557 [check your build] Every multiblock now reports why its structure check fails in the diagnostics screen. Some structure checks got stricter in the rewrite: Bio Vats need an input hatch to form, the Legacy Mega Chemical Reactor needs an energy hatch, and the Legacy Industrial Arc Furnace needs an input bus, input hatch, output bus and output hatch. Turning a disconnected Space Mining Module on or off no longer kicks you. - @AnsonYeung
#7074 [recipes changed] Adds autogenerated Superdense Plates for BartWorks materials that have Dense Plates, and for a selection of late-game GT++ materials. Only Shirabon Superdense Plates are used in recipes so far, replacing Shirabon Large Plates in EOH recipes. Shirabon, Metastable Og, Hypogen and Quantum Superdense Plates need a Black Hole Compressor. Recipes for Ruthenium, Rhodium, Ruridit, MAR-M200, Ademic Steel, High Durability Compound Steel, Adamantium Alloy, Tairitsu, Precious Metals Alloy, Metastable Oganesson, Shirabon and other BartWorks and GoodGenerator materials now run at the material's own tier, EV to UMV, instead of LV or MV. - @Auynonymous
- What to do: Check automation that processes those materials on low-tier machines. Making a block from 9 ingots of any BartWorks metal also changed: it takes 9x longer in the Extruder and 18x longer in the Alloy Smelter, at 120 or 480 EU/t and 60 or 240 EU/t.

- ...and 9 smaller change(s) in ModularUI2, listed in the by-mod files.
NewHorizonsCoreMod
#1760 The Beamcrafter can now make the xenoxene xenoxsis culture once you have xenoxene. It takes a Barnada culture Petri Dish and 250 L of Xenoxene, using Tau and Tau Neutrino at 300 and 200, with a 50% output chance. It runs for 2 seconds at UHV. - @ham-corp

#1758 Unstable Ingot (Mobius Stable) now has an Assembler recipe and a Beamcrafter recipe. The Assembler recipe takes an Iron Ingot, a stable Division Sigil and a Diamond, runs for 42 seconds at LV and is NBT sensitive. The Beamcrafter recipe takes an Iron Ingot and a Diamond, uses Z Boson and W Boson at 5 each, runs for 1 second at ZPM, and only loads when Extra Utilities is present. - @UltraProdigy
