Dyson Swarm built with UIV circuits, new module recipe

The Dyson Swarm's blocks take twice as many UIV circuits where they took UMV ones, plus Radox Polymer, so the swarm no longer waits on UMV circuits. The Dyson Swarm Module has a new Assembly Line recipe built from new parts, among them Ultra-Durable Solar Sails from the Solar Factory, and makes 64 modules a run. The Space Assembler gained recipes for the OpenComputers Server (Tier 4), Drone Case, Microcontroller Case and APU (Tier 3) and the Neutronium Compressor controller, so none of them needs the Dire Crafting Table any more.

UXV gear takes Black Plutonium cable

Black Plutonium wire now loses 32 EU per meter where it lost 8, and a new Black Plutonium cable keeps the old 8. The UXV Machine Hull, the UXV diodes and the UXV-to-UMV and MAX-to-UXV transformers and wet transformers take that cable where they took bare wire. The other transformers and wet transformers from UHV up take Bedrockium, Draconium, Nether Star and Quantium cable in place of bare wire. The three highest wet transformers are made only in the Assembler, with 2,000, 8,000 or 32,000 L of Dimensionally Shifted Superfluid.

The UEV and UIV Machine Casings and Hulls take Infinity and Transcendent Metal plates instead of Bedrockium and Black Plutonium. The UEV to UXV diodes take Infinity, Transcendent Metal, SpaceTime and MHDCSM plates, one tier up from before.

Steel from iron dust needs carbon

Steel from iron dust in the Electric Blast Furnace now needs a carbon dust as well: one Iron Dust and one Coal, Charcoal, Carbon or Lignite Dust with 1,000 L of Oxygen make a Steel Ingot and give back 250 L of Carbon Dioxide. A bulk recipe turns 50 Iron Dust and one carbon dust into 50 Steel Ingots in 150 seconds at EV, in place of the four-at-a-time coal and carbon recipes. Wrought Iron is called Cast Iron now, and its dust still blasts into steel with oxygen in 5 seconds; Pig Iron Dust no longer does. Steel Dust also lost its smeltery melting recipe, which was a way around the blast furnace.

GT++ parts recycle in the Arc Furnace

Plates, rods, gears, wires and the other parts of GT++ alloys melt back into ingots or nuggets in the Arc Furnace, as GregTech's own materials do. Their macerator recycling runs at 4 EU/t for a time set by the material's mass and the amount in the part, instead of a flat 20 seconds at 2 EU/t, and NEI lists GT++ recycling under the Arc Furnace Recycling, Macerator Recycling and Fluid Extractor Recycling tabs. Smeltable GT++ alloy dusts such as Tumbaga and Potin also go straight into the Fluid Extractor; alloys that need a blast furnace do not.

Traveller boots steer in the air by their speed setting

Boots of the Traveller and the boots built on them steer in mid-air according to their speed setting: at 0% you move through the air as you would without boots, at 100% at the boots' full rate. On EMT's Electric, Nano and Quantum Boots of the Traveller a 0% setting used to stop all mid-air steering, jetpack flight included. Thaumic Exploration's Boots of the Comet and Meteor, the ThaumicBoots boots, Tainted Magic's Voidwalker Boots and Witching Gadgets' Primordial Boots follow the same rule. Boots with a bigger jump bonus also steer faster: at full speed Voidwalker Boots about a quarter faster than before and Primordial Boots twice as fast.

In December, Boots of Christmas Spirit give a 9% vis discount instead of 25% and Boots of the Seasons 6% instead of 12%.

Asgardandelion and Botania wand parts cost less

The Asgardandelion takes a Black Lotus instead of a Blacker Lotus and a Terrasteel plate instead of a Gaia Spirit plate, which brings Botania's infinite mana flower closer to the Guilty Pool's cost. The Forbidden Magic wand parts from Botania cost about what their Thaumcraft equals do: the Livingwood core's infusion takes the four elemental runes and a mana rune, without the season runes, and Manasteel caps infuse from a gold cap with Manasteel and Salis Mundus instead of a silver cap and Astral Silver.

Conveyors and pumps scale four times per tier

Conveyor Modules from LuV up move four times what the tier below does, where they used to double. From ZPM up a module takes at most 16 slots per tick; above ZPM the gain is in how many items it pulls from each slot, up to 262,144 at UXV, which a Super or Quantum Chest can supply. From ordinary 64-item slots every tier from ZPM to UXV moves 1,024 items a tick, so a UEV module emptying a large chest moves half its 2.8.4 rate. Electric Pumps and Fluid Regulators above UV follow the same four-times rule: a UHV pump moves 2,097,152 L/t, twice its 2.8.4 rate. The UIV, UMV and UXV Conveyor Modules and Electric Pumps work as covers, which they did not in 2.8.4.

Late-game tier moves: SLAM, Wormhole Generator, Sunnarium, power ICs

The Shielded Lagrangian Annihilation Matrix controller takes molten UIV superconductor base where it took UMV; its Assembly Line recipe still runs at UMV. The Miniature Wormhole Generator is a ZPM Assembly Line recipe researched in a Scanner, with ZPM field generators and emitters and UV circuits; it was a UEV Research Station recipe with UHV parts. The five Sunnarium alloys are made one at a time in the Alloy Smelter instead of the Assembler, in 7.5 to 17.5 seconds where they took 40 seconds to 2 minutes 20.

The new power ICs replace QPICs and pico wafers in older recipes: the UIV, UMV and UXV transformers take FPIC, APIC and ZPIC chips, four Dyson Swarm blocks take half as many FPICs as they took QPICs, and the Solar Factory's UV solar panel recipes take FPIC wafers. The Infinite Wafer's blast furnace recipe needs 22,000 K instead of 33,500 K. A new Arc Furnace recipe turns 64 Radioactive Waste and 1,000 L of Excited DTEC into 50 L of Dimensionally Transcendent Residue, for a Fusion Mk5 before the DTPF. The DTPF's 16-Tesseract recipe takes 20 seconds instead of 40 and the 4-Tesseract recipe 80 instead of 40, and Alpha Centauri Bb stone dust centrifuges into Tartarite where it gave Infinity Catalyst.

Obzinite mixes thinner; wood plates, water tanks and lanterns change

Obzinite (Alumite) yields less: 5 Zinc, 2 Steel and 2 Obsidian dust make 5 Obzinite dust in the Mixer instead of 9, and 3 by hand instead of 8. The Assembler makes 32 Wood Plates from 64 Wood Pulp instead of 64, with half the glue in half the time. Tanning two leather in the Chemical Bath takes 250 L of Phosphoric Acid instead of 144 L.

The Railcraft Water Tank is cheaper: the crafting recipes take Iron or Cast Iron rods and Rubber dust where they took Steel or Stainless Steel rods and slime, and Assembler recipes make 1 to 8 tanks from wooden frames, a rod and glue or molten rubber. The Et Futurum and BiblioCraft lanterns take screws and glass panes instead of plates and glowstone, and the Assembler makes four at a time. Four Natura Sulfur Clouds make a Sulfur dust in the 2x2 inventory grid.

SMD parts need HV; MV Field Generators need only Titanium

SMD resistors, diodes, transistors, capacitors and inductors are HV Assembler recipes at half their old time, so MV runs on the plain parts. Cooling hot ingots in the Chemical Bath is quicker: Kanthal takes 40 seconds instead of 60, Tantalum 60 instead of 90, Silicon 20 instead of 30 and Silicon Solar Grade 30 instead of 40.

The Compressed Chest takes Nichrome rods instead of Obsidian rods. The ME Output Bus, ME Output Hatch and Stocking Input Bus are built on EV buses and hatches instead of HV ones, and the output bus and hatch take a full ME Interface or Fluid Interface block instead of the interface part. Some parts come earlier: the MV Field Generator takes Titanium where it took Tungstensteel, the OpenComputers Control Unit an MV circuit instead of an HV one, and the Project Red IC Blueprint a plastic circuit board instead of an epoxy one.

Staballoy Constructs drop far less

A Staballoy Construct now drops zero to two Dandelions and zero to two Staballoy Ingots a kill. It used to drop zero to two Staballoy Blocks plus three to five ingot drops, each one as many ingots as your Looting level plus one, with a one in three chance of as many plates beside each. Looting counts up to level IV: each level adds one more ingot half the time, so Looting IV averages three ingots a kill against one without it. A looting weapon in the Extreme Entity Crusher raises the ingot drop too.

The Stargate costs more and comes from the BEC

The Stargate costs more, and most of the extra is circuits and parts from the new 2.9 machines. The Stargate-Radiation-Containment-Plate, Stargate Chevron and Stargate Frame Part are Condensate Assembling recipes in the BEC instead of Research Station assembly-line recipes. The ring, chevron and base blocks take Perfected Waveguides, Energy Conduits, Electrogravitic Valves and Exo-Foundry parts, and the Stargate Controller takes the Arithmetic Singularity. The 2.7.0 gate parts stay as separate Research Station recipes under the name Heavenly Fire.

Windmill: the wind sets how much it grinds

The Windmill grinds 2, 4, 8 or 16 items per recipe, set by the wind speed a Simple Wind Meter reads: under 10, 10 to 20, 20 to 30, and 30 to 50. Every recipe takes eight times its macerator time whatever the wind; in 2.8.4 the wind and the rotor set the speed of a batch of up to 16. Below a wind of 1, or at 50 and more, it switches itself off and its screen says Not enough wind or Wind is too strong. The output bonus is gone: cobblestone, stone and wheat no longer give up to one and a half times their dust, and a rotor's speed and output stats no longer count, so its tooltip lists only wind range and durability. Its walls take terracotta of any colour.

NewHorizonsCoreMod

  • #1537 The Cutting Machine recipes for Crafting Station and Crafting Slab now take 5 seconds each instead of 4 minutes. Power use is 16 EU/t, the same as LV. Lubricant still doubles the speed. - @danyadev

speed up crafting station cutting recipe from 240s to 5s

  • ...and 4 smaller change(s) in NewHorizonsCoreMod, listed in the by-mod files.

GT5-Unofficial

  • #7468 [rebuild required] Photolithographic masks no longer have durability and now stack to 64. The Target Chamber takes a regular Input Bus instead of a Focus Input Bus, so a stocking input bus can feed it masks. Each Target Chamber recipe uses up one mask, and its wafer or target input, its output and its particle amount were multiplied by that mask's old durability, so masks are used up at the same rate as before. - @error1number404

    • What to do: Your Target Chamber will not re-form until you rebuild one block: break the Focus Input Bus in the top centre casing and put a normal Input Bus there, so the machine has two. The Focus Input Bus is now unused. Masks no longer wear out and stack to 64, but a part-used mask matches no recipe after updating. Recipes are batched per mask now: one run takes a mask plus as many wafers or target items as that mask used to have uses, from 50 (QBIT, PPIC, QPIC, FPIC) to 200 (RAM, NAND, ULPIC).

Removed masks dura, allowed regular hatch on target chamber

  • #7996 [check your build] Battery Buffers no longer restrict item output, so automation can pull any item out of them, charged batteries and tools included. Before, only certain GT batteries could be taken out, and only when empty. - @UltraProdigy

    • What to do: Check any pipe, conveyor or bus attached to a Battery Buffer, because it can now pull charged batteries and other items out.
  • #8026 [recipes changed] The Quantum Force Transformer rubber recipe now takes 32 sulfur dust and 32 carbon dust instead of 64 carbon dust. Setups that feed this recipe need sulfur added to their input. - @DreamYao520

    • What to do: Add 32 Sulfur dust to the Quantum Force Transformer rubber recipe's input, cut the Carbon dust from 64 to 32, and re-encode the pattern.
  • #7990 [recipes changed] The iodine recipe now takes 2000 L Seaweed Concentrate and 2000 L Chlorobenzene instead of a Benzene cell and 2000 L Seaweed Concentrate, runs in 30 s instead of 38 s, and works only in an Industrial Centrifuge or a Spinmatron, not in a single-block centrifuge. Smelting seaweed now gives a full Seaweed Ash dust instead of a small dust, and the mixer step takes 8 dust to match. A new UEV recipe turns seaweed byproducts into real byproducts, and with a heavy mode Spinmatron the line gives triple the iodine of a regular seaweed line. - @Auynonymous

    • What to do: Check any automated seaweed line: the furnace now outputs full Seaweed Ash dust and the mixer step takes 8 dust. The iodine step needs 2000 L Chlorobenzene in place of the Benzene cell and has to move from a single-block centrifuge to an Industrial Centrifuge or a Spinmatron.
  • #7750 [recipes changed] GT++ materials no longer get Double and Dense plate Bender recipes below MV. Dense plates need an MV Bender or better, and LV-tier GT++ materials had LV recipes for them. Those recipes now run at MV. - @UltraProdigy

    • What to do: Check any automation that bends Double or Dense plates of low-tier GT++ materials, since those recipes now draw MV power.

Fix Dense Plate Min EU for GT++ Materials

  • #7635 [recipes changed] The Mixer Dragonblood recipe now takes 2100 seconds, three times as long as before. The four Dragonblood recipes in the Draconic Evolution Fusion Crafter now need casing tier 2 instead of tier 3. - @UltraProdigy

    • What to do: Nothing you built has to come down. The non-magic mixer route to molten dragonblood now takes 2100 seconds instead of 700, so an existing line produces a third as much per mixer; add mixers if you depend on it. The Draconic Evolution Fusion Crafter recipes for dragonblood now accept a tier 2 casing instead of tier 3, which only makes them easier.
  • #7428 [recipes changed] Eternity nanites now cost 2 Universium nanites per nanite, where 2.8.4 took one Transcendent Metal nanite per four. The recipe outputs 1 nanite instead of 4 from the same 8 Eternity blocks and 64000 L of Primordial Matter, with timepieces, spatially enlarged fluid, catalyst fluid and recipe time quartered. Magmatter nanites go from 1 to 4 Universium nanites per nanite.

MHDCSM V2 now takes 1 Eternity nanite and 4 stacks of Raw Star Matter and makes 72 ingots in 2 seconds. Forming press Nanite Framework, the EOH recipe and a Godforge recipe use different nanite inputs. - @Ruling-0

  • What to do: Nothing you built has to come down. If you produce Eternity or MagMatter nanites, re-plan the cost: one Eternity nanite per run instead of four, using two Universium nanites (instead of one Transcendent Metal nanite), eight Eternity blocks and 64000 L of primordial matter each; MagMatter nanites now take four Universium nanites instead of one. Re-encode any autocrafting patterns for those two nanites, for the Nanite Framework and for the MHDCSM implosion recipe, which all changed inputs.

Increase Eternity and Magmatter Nanite Cost, and Rebalance Usage

  • #7373 [recipes changed] Shirabon mass is cut from 750 to 128, which makes the autogenerated Shirabon recipes about 6x shorter. Those recipes now need 60% of a UMV recipe amp. Superdense plate amounts in EOH blocks go up to offset the shorter Shirabon superdense time.

Crafting table recipes for components (foils, gears and similar) are removed from the BartWorks and GoodGenerator materials above IV, to match GT and GT++. Anything you crafted by hand from those now needs a machine. - @Ruling-0

  • What to do: Crafting table recipes are gone for High Durability Compound Steel, Extremely Unstable Naquadah, Adamantium Alloy, Tairitsu, Enriched Naquadah Alloy, Precious Metals Alloy, Metastable Oganesson and Shirabon: plate from ingot, foil from plate, sticks, rings, screws, gears, small gears, rotors, crushed ore to dust, dust to and from small and tiny dust, and gem splitting; GT materials above IV also lose the hammer foil recipe. Re-encode any autocrafting pattern that used a hammer, file, saw or wrench on those materials.

  • #6765 [recipes changed] Hypogen processing voltage drops from UIV to UEV, and the Eye of Harmony materials White Dwarf Matter and Black Dwarf Matter (from UEV) and Universium (from UMV) now process at UXV. This lets the Exofoundry process hypogen without any modules. Every GT++ fluid solidifier recipe takes about twice as long: 3 seconds for ingot and plate (was 1.6), 3 seconds for nugget (was 0.8), 12 seconds for gear (was 6.4) and 25 seconds for block (was 14.4). - @chrombread

    • What to do: GT++ fluid solidifier lines run at about half speed, and White Dwarf Matter, Black Dwarf Matter and Universium now need UXV machines.
  • #6463 [recipes changed] The platinum group loop recipes for the PT concentrate centrifuge and the multiblock chemical reactor now take half the input and give half the output. Duration is 1 minute 4 seconds in both. This corrects a recipe that had been wrongly buffed compared to the normal dust route. - @Nana-Sakura

Platline Platinum loop recipe fix and alignment for tiny dust

  • #5137 [recipes changed] IV components in the Component Assembly Line now need an integrated circuit, as LuV and above already did. Field Generators now use circuit 8 instead of no circuit, so they no longer conflict with other recipes in the machine. Running setups need the right circuit in their input. - @UltraProdigy

    • What to do: In the Component Assembly Line, IV component setups now need the same programmed circuit as LuV and above: 1 Motor, 2 Piston, 3 Pump, 4 Robot Arm, 5 Conveyor, 6 Emitter, 7 Sensor. Field Generators of every tier now need circuit 8.
  • #7867 The Francium line does not make a net profit of chrome: the Chrome dust output chance in the Thorium Elution Adsorbent recipe is 45%. - @Nana-Sakura

fix Fr line chrome recycle possibility

  • #6974 The Black Hole Compressor no longer caps parallels on recipes that do not need a black hole, once stability is below 20. This makes it much better for normal compression recipes than spamming HIP or using solidification. The tooltip now says so. - @Ruling-0

Uncap BHC Parallels for Non-Black Hole Recipes

  • #5308 The Strontium Hydroxide precipitation recipe in the Netherite chain uses 42 dust per run, as 2.8.4 already does; the 48 dust version was reverted before 2.8.4 shipped. The strontium gain is intended, as an alternate strontium source. - @Nockyx

  • #5246 The Netherrack Flotation Froth recipe outputs 8,000 L per run instead of 1,000 L; this already shipped in 2.8.4 through #5529. The old amount needed 6656 netherrack per netherite ingot, which pushed players toward mining the Nether with ender quarries and hurting multiplayer servers. - @Glease

  • #5014 The 64A UHV Dynamo Hatch assembler recipe runs at UV voltage instead of UHV, matching the other dynamo hatch recipes. 2.8.4 already has this. - @UltraProdigy

  • ...and 63 smaller change(s) in GT5-Unofficial, listed in the by-mod files.

GT-New-Horizons-Modpack

  • #25266 [config] The Ore Finder Wand config has new options: an Allowlist, a Blocklist, a Material Blocklist and a debug option that prints block info on right-click. Amethyst blocks and clusters can now be searched for, and chests are blocked. The scan range stays at 4 for X/Z and 60 for Y. - @Algent
  • ...and 15 smaller change(s) in GT-New-Horizons-Modpack, listed in the by-mod files.
