Changes & Reworks

Instantly Connecting Pipes

GregTech fluid pipes, item pipes and cables now show their connections the moment they are placed. As before, a pipe connects only to the block you place it against, not to every neighbour.

Instant-On Multiblock Recipe Checks

Multiblocks now start a recipe check the tick something changes in their hatches instead of polling on a timer, so an idle multi starts working the tick its inputs land rather than up to five seconds later. New items or fluid in an input bus or hatch, a drained output, a swapped data stick or a new pattern in a CRIB all trigger it. Stocking input buses and hatches that pull from ME still use the old timer in the pack's default config. Their "Recipe Check on change" option is gone.

What Waila says about a GT machine

Waila on a single-block machine now shows a bar with its stored EU and fill percentage, the items in its input and output slots, and the fluid in its tanks, each on its own coloured line. A machine switched off mid-recipe keeps showing its progress bar until that recipe finishes, which helps most on steam machines that have no other display. A steam boiler shows its temperature, how far its fuel has burned and the steam it makes per second. The Quantum Computer shows the computation it provides, and the Data Bank its EU/t.

Steam Blender

The Steam Blender takes roughly 60% fewer blocks to build and is smaller in every direction. A blender already in the world keeps its old shape and keeps working; to switch it to the new shape, break and replace the controller. There is no conversion recipe.

Numbered structure hint holograms

Structure hint holograms now show a number from 1 to 12 on the sides of each block instead of a pattern of dots, so you can read off which block goes where. The hint items keep their names, "Hint 1 dot" through "Hint 12 dots".

Construction tooltips overhaul

Multiblock construction tooltips read the same everywhere in GregTech now: dimensions are LxWxH, every hatch and casing line carries an amount or a range, structure errors come in one fixed order, and a subchannel line names the master channel beside it. TecTech hatch support is no longer spelled out.

Graves auto-equip all equipment types

Collecting items from a grave now puts armor, baubles, a worn backpack, GalactiCraft gear and cosmetic armor back into their slots. If the original slot is taken, the item goes into any other slot that fits it, then into your inventory, and stays in the grave if there is no room anywhere. Only the owner can collect a grave, by left-clicking it or shift-right-clicking it with an empty hand. While a grave holds items it can only be broken with a shovel. Right-clicking it with a shovel spills everything on the ground.

OreDictionary Support in Machine Recipes

Machine recipes can now name an OreDictionary entry where they used to need one exact item. In NEI such an input cycles through every item that matches, so one recipe now covers what used to need a dozen. The pack's recipe loaders were rewritten around it.

Upgrade bus inventory, deprecate super buses

Input and Output buses from EV upward hold more items: 25 slots at EV, rising to 100 at UHV. Super buses are deprecated and no longer craftable, and recipes that required them (such as chisel buses) have been updated to use standard buses instead.

Connected textures across GregTech

GregTech glass of every kind, every coil, solenoid and winding, and a few dozen casings - fusion, HTGR and Waterline casings among them - now join into one connected texture instead of repeating block by block. Hatches and controllers count as part of the casing around them, so the pattern runs across them instead of breaking.

Glowing GT Ores and New Infused Stone

Uranium, Plutonium, Draconium, Awakened Draconium, Electrum Flux, Cosmic Neutronium and the six Infused Stone ores now glow in the dark. Infused Stone ores also have a new animated texture. Twilight Forest hollow hills now grow GregTech ore stalactites instead of vanilla ores: Infused Stone of all six aspects, Amber and Cinnabar.

Borosilicate Glass system overhaul

Borosilicate glass has new textures for every tier and two new tiers: Hexanite at UMV and Universium at UXV. From UHV up the glass is foggy. A transparent version of each is made in the EBF with Hydrofluoric Acid and turns back in a Chemical Bath with Nitric Acid. Coloured Borosilicate and Cosmic Neutronium glass are gone, and Infinity and Transcendent glass each dropped a tier. Glass already placed or stored is converted and keeps its tier: Cosmic Neutronium becomes Infinity, Infinity becomes Transcendent, Transcendent becomes Hexanite, and coloured glass becomes plain Borosilicate. Borosilicate maceration recipes run at the tier of their solidifier recipe. Thaumcraft's Warded Glass counts as EV glass instead of HV.

Material items now show a lore line under the chemical formula for materials that have one, such as Infinity and Antimatter. Pipes and wires show the formula and lore too. The formula on fluids is no longer yellow. GT++ materials that duplicated a GregTech material now carry the GregTech name, so a few items in your save read differently.

JourneyMap 6 support across mods

Navigator, VisualProspecting, ServerUtilities, TCNodeTracker, Share Where I Am and GregTech now support JourneyMap 6 as well as the pack's JourneyMap 5 and Xaero's Minimap. With JourneyMap 6 installed, ore veins, Thaumcraft nodes and power-failure sites use its native markers. Fluid and claim coverage draw as its native overlays. On both JourneyMap versions, labels and icons now scale with the zoom level.

Prospecting map visuals and performance

Underground fluids on JourneyMap now draw in their own colours, the same ones the prospecting tools use. Ore vein markers sit on a background of their dimension's stone. Both layers skip what is off screen and draw a fluid field as a colour gradient one zoom level before its labels appear, so they cost far less framerate. The L/Op figures on fluid fields are halved to match what a Fluid Drilling Rig pumps without overclocks.

GT ore generation refactor across mods

One generator now places the GT, Bartworks and GT++ ore veins, on the Galacticraft planets as well. GregTech ores no longer use tile entities and come in more stone types. Asteroids are smaller but far more common and generate much faster. Asteroid fields also hold ice asteroids of frozen gases. In the Twilight Forest veins spawn at heights of their own, so far fewer chunks there end up empty. NEI's Vein Stats marks such dimension-specific heights with an asterisk.

An NEI recipe lookup on an ore product lists the veins that produce it. The Detrav scanner scans in the background instead of freezing the server. The IFU Ore Finder Wand now shows its tooltip and works for several players at the same time.

Step assist overhaul for boots

Step assist on the Thaumcraft-family boots is on by default and off while you sneak. The Toggle Step Assist key (Thaumic Boots in Controls, unbound by default) switches it on any of them. The omnidirectional speed bonus is also on by default. A new pair of Thaumic Boots starts at 100% speed and 100% jump.

This covers the Electric Boots of the Traveler, the Thaumic Boots, the Voidwalker Boots, the Boots of the Meteor and of the Comet, and the Primordial Armor boots. Avaritia's Infinity Boots have a Boots step up config option: with it off, they no longer reset your step height, so step assist from other gear keeps working.

Backhand offhand support across the pack

Tools held in the Backhand offhand slot now act on what you do with the main hand: a GT spray can or an AE2 Color Applicator paints each block as you place it, and a GT wrench makes a newly placed fluid pipe one-way. The pipe takes no fluid from the block it was placed against; sneak while placing and the pipe you placed against takes none from the new one instead.

From the offhand, a Programmed Circuit can be set, the hang glider opens, a Staff of Traveling highlights travel anchors, Tinkers' Construct weapons gain XP for the damage they deal, and the AE2 Meteorite Compass points the right way. A builder's wand places the block held in the offhand. Draconic armour lifts its left arm to hold an offhand item.

The Color Applicator now spends dye and power on AE cables and other AE blocks, which it used to recolour for free. The Infinite Spray Can follows your mouse keybindings, so it works with left and right click swapped.

The Angel Ring moves to IV

The Angel Ring is an IV infusion now instead of ZPM. It is made mostly of magic materials, Ichorium, Ichorcloth, a Primordial Pearl and Blood Magic's Aether reagent among them, instead of the Iridium ring, Tritanium screws and Engraved Gold Chips. The research moved to the New Horizons tab. The wing styles are arcane crafting recipes that take any Angel Ring, so you can switch between them.

UEV to UXV Energy and Dynamo Hatches take two coils of their own tier instead of 4 to 32 UHV coils. The Compact Fusion Computer MK-V takes 16 UEV coils instead of 64 UHV coils. Ore dictionary, recycling and NEI tidying

Molds and Extruder Shapes, the GGFab single-use molds and the GT++ Pellet Mold among them, recycle into 4 ingots' worth of Steel in GT's macerator, arc furnace and fluid extractor. Before, most of them only melted down in the Tinkers' smeltery. Obsidian's macerator and fluid extractor recipes left the recycling category and are listed as ordinary recipes. Raw Neutronium and Lapotron dust gained the dustRawNeutronium and dustLapotron ore-dictionary names. In NEI, the Smeltery shows one recipe per ore for iron, copper, tin, cassiterite, gold, aluminium and emerald instead of one per stone type. ProjectRed's circuit assembler recipes show one recipe that cycles through the solders instead of three.

Recipes that changed hands

IC2's Solar Panel, Reinforced Stone, Reinforced Glass and Rubber Sheet are replaced by GregTech blocks: the 1-volt Solar Panel, the Reinforced Block, GT Reinforced Glass and the Bounce Pad. Every recipe that used the IC2 block uses the GT one. Placed IC2 reinforced stone, reinforced glass and rubber sheets turn into the GT blocks as the world loads. IC2 solar panels in an inventory become 1-volt Solar Panels. A shapeless recipe converts any others. A new Sticky Pad, crafted from six Sticky Resin, slows whatever crosses it.

GregTech's Potassium Hydroxide replaces the CoreMod's own dust. Dust you already have converts on load. The Blood Altar recipe for Blood Infused Iron gives GregTech's ingot instead of Blood Arsenal's.

Other recipes that changed:

  • Project Red logic gates are made only in the Assembler. The Light Sensor takes a daylight detector, the Bus Input Panel 16 illumar buttons and the Segment Display 3 glass plates.
  • Super and Quantum Chests and Tanks take single plates instead of quadruple plates, and every tier has an Assembler recipe.
  • The Reinforced Watering Can is made from stainless steel parts instead of neutronium and bedrockium.
  • The UIV Superconducting Magnet Solenoid takes 1,024,000 L of Super Coolant instead of 32 ingots of molten Transcendent Metal.
  • The Infinite Water ME Cell takes a Water Singularity instead of a fluid packet. The singularity is compressed from 2,147,483,647 L of water in the Neutronium Compressor.
  • The Thaumonomicon, Arcane Worktable and Crucible are arcane-crafted from a book, a wooden table or a cauldron and three Salis Mundus.
  • Fluid Heater recipes no longer need a programmed circuit, except water into steam or hot water.
  • The Shuttle Schematic takes its ores from any stone type. The Cover Screen takes any red, lime and blue dye, and the Nuclear Control Color Upgrade any red, green and blue dye.
  • The vanilla Piston has a single Assembler recipe that takes any cobblestone, any wooden fence and six plank covers of any wood.
  • Wooden fence gates in the Assembler need circuit 1.
  • Malisis wooden doors take the Malisis trapdoor of their own wood instead of an oak trapdoor.
  • The Aquasalus takes Cactus Juice instead of a water bottle. An Extractor turns a cactus into two Cactus Juice.
  • Botania and Et Futurum End Stone Bricks chisel into each other.
  • AE2Stuff's blocks are AE2 blocks now, with the same recipes. The Pattern Encoder is gone, and the Distillation Pattern Encoder takes a Pattern Terminal in its place.
  • The Extra Utilities Etheric Sword no longer turns into a Soul Fragment.

Electrolyzer

49 compound gases and liquids that could only be electrolyzed as capsules now have fluid-input recipes at the same cost. Lanthanite (La), (Ce) and (Nd) are made of carbon instead of calcium now, so their GT++ electrolyzer recipes give carbon dust, with the oxygen in one stack instead of two. The auto-generated electrolyzer recipe for Fluorite (F) is gone.

Diamond and emerald tool modifiers now raise mining level by a configurable amount

A diamond or emerald on a Tinkers' tool now raises its mining level by one step, and further gems keep raising it without using another modifier slot. A diamond stops at Obsidian level and an emerald at Redstone level on a pickaxe or hammer that has had its mining level-up; on any other tool each stops one level lower. Before, either gem only worked on a Redstone-level tool and took it straight to Obsidian. Tools that already got that boost keep their level.

Streamlined ethereal familiar recipes

Ethereal Familiar creation and each of its upgrades use a single infusion recipe that works with any aspect, instead of one recipe per aspect. NEI and the Thaumonomicon show it with Terra. Both ethereal essences must carry the same aspect. The familiar takes that aspect, and its upgrades need essences and essentia of the same aspect. A new page in the Ethereal Familiar research explains this.

Each ore's tooltip says whether it will be voided. A data stick copies the setting to another Void Miner. Ore blocks in an input bus still count toward the filter.

The miner also says why it will not mine - "This dimension cannot be void mined" or "No ores available to mine in this dimension" - instead of a generic "Extraction Failed".

The Space Mining Module's GUI has an in-game calculator that previews the yield of a configuration, and a utility panel that looks up asteroids by ore, distance, module tier and drone. The utility panel's Target this asteroid button sets the module's distance for the chosen drone. The filter panel lists the asteroids minable with the current settings and highlights filtered ores that can be mined.

A Nether ore asteroid (Nether Quartz, Sulfur, Certus Quartz, Quartzite, Firestone) and a Space Ore asteroid (Meteoric Iron, Deep Iron, Mytryl, Ledox, Orichalcum and other space ores) are new. The Phosphate asteroid now also drops Apatite. The Platline Dust asteroid needs a Mk-II module instead of a Mk-III. Clay and cheese asteroids now yield their drops. Output chances were slightly off and are now exact. NEI's data dumps gained a Space Miner Asteroids CSV.

Space Pump

The Space Pumping Module's settings moved from numbered parameter slots into a Parameters panel beside the GUI, opened with the Edit Parameters button. The panel holds a Batch Size field and one Recipe row per recipe the module runs at once: one on a Mk-I, four on a Mk-II or Mk-III. A Recipe row's Open Editor button opens that recipe's Planet Type, Gas Type and Parallels fields. The Space Assembler Module got the same panel with a single Max parallels field.

Space Elevator

Space Elevator mining modules take plasma from input hatches on the Space Elevator itself and share its computation, so a module no longer needs its own input hatch or data input. Hatches placed on a module still feed that module alone. A module uses the highest-tier plasma it can reach, from its own hatches or the elevator's, so one module can run on a better plasma than the rest. The Parametrizer Memory Card copies a mining module's ore filter, whitelist or blacklist included, and lists the filtered ores in its tooltip.

The Space Assembler Module Mk-II runs at 150% speed and the Mk-III at 200%. Its tooltip gives the nickname SPASS. Every Space Elevator module's energy buffer doubled.

PCB Factory: upgrades become linked sub-multiblocks

The PCB Factory's Bio Chamber and Cooling Tower are now multiblocks with their own controllers, built within 16 blocks of the factory on each axis and linked to it with a data stick, like the Water Purification Plant's units. One upgrade can serve several factories. The Cooling Tower draws 10 L/s of coolant for each linked factory that is running. The factory reads its tier from the structure it finds. The Hologram Projector builds Tier 1, 2 or 3 depending on how many projectors are in the stack.

A Tier 3 factory accepts hatches anywhere on its main casing. The Nanite Containment Bus holds up to 2,147,483,647 nanites instead of 2048.

Cryogenic Freezer

Freezing a Zirconium hot ingot takes 13.65 seconds instead of one tick, because zirconium now has a mass and freezing time follows mass. BartWorks electrolyzer recipes now take their duration from mass instead of proton count. Freezing a BartWorks hot ingot costs 120 EU/t instead of 128, so it no longer needs a full MV amp. The Cryogenic Freezer and Volcanus controllers can be made in an assembler.

Dangote Distillus and the Mega Distillation Tower

The Dangote Distillus now switches to Distillery mode at any height. Its Distillery parallels are 2 * floor(height / 3) per voltage tier, the old 8 per tier at the full 12 blocks. Its Distillation Tower mode runs 3x faster instead of 3.5x. Distillation towers, the Dangote and the Mega Distillation Tower no longer start a recipe while an ME output hatch is full, which voided the output. The Dangote no longer forms below its minimum casing count. The Distillation Tower's tooltip stops listing Distillery as a machine type.

Distillation Tower

A circuit-2 recipe turns 1000 L of plain Oil into 500 L of Lubricant in 20 seconds at 120 EU/t, the counterpart to the Distillery recipe and to the other Oil to Lubricant routes. The structure hologram no longer marks the top-centre block with the hint whose list includes an Energy Hatch, which the top layer never accepted.

Extreme Entity Crusher

The Extreme Entity Crusher can now be rotated: the render and the box the mob is lit by follow the controller's orientation, and the spikes turn to face the mob when the structure forms. Its Well of Suffering ritual mode works with doDaylightCycle switched off. It also accepts the Debug Energy Hatch.

Eye of Harmony

The Eye of Harmony's outputs follow the Void Miner more closely: they include what mercury and sodium persulfate washing and magnetic separation yield from each ore. Its star, star field and orbiting planets render more smoothly and no longer spin while the game is paused in singleplayer. Its hatches show the Infinite SpaceTime Energy Boundary Casing texture. It no longer forms with an ME Stocking Input Hatch; its two input hatches must be regular ones.

Forge of Gods

The plasma fabricator was rescaled: every plasma module recipe moved down one tier with its recipe time doubled, its base parallel went from 384 to 512, and the GGEBE upgrade turns its overclock factor from a flat 2.3 into 4 - 25000 / Heat. Magmatter and exotic plasmas unlock one upgrade earlier, at EE, which swaps places with the third ring. The Forge accepts any output bus instead of only an ME Output Bus. Its info panel was reorganised, with the main figures highlighted. A voiding bug in the Plasma Module is fixed. The battery size can now be set above 2,147,483,647. Neither a full battery nor the fuel consumption factors overflow any more.

The third ring and one layer of the base are now symmetrical. Both changes unform a Forge that is already built, which has to be adjusted to the corrected layout.

High Temperature Gas Cooled Reactor

The High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor is now an IV breeder that burns several fuels at once. It draws 1,536 EU/t, up to 40 times that when short of Helium, and needs at least 10% of its Helium capacity to start. Coolant and distilled water fed to its towers speed it up. Every fuel has its own TRISO and BISO pebble items with a base output, multiplier and exponent. The power modifier is base x multiplier^exponent, and the recipe time is divided by the exponent squared.

It breeds indium, plutonium, plutonium 241, lutetium, osmium, promethium, praseodymium, lanthanum and sunnarium. Its promethium feeds new fusion recipes for europium and americium. The GUI shows how full the reactor is.

The structure is new, so a reactor built in 2.8.4 has to be rebuilt. The old Bartworks HTGR fuel items are deprecated and do not run in it.

Industrial Apiary

The single-block Industrial Apiary got a power button in its GUI, new 16x16 upgrade textures with a distinct icon for each biome simulation upgrade, and an info tooltip that updates when you swap upgrades. It now reads the biome temperature at its own position, height included, which matters for the lapotron bee. Its accelerated secondary bee effect was fixed.

Mega Industrial Apiary

A Mega Industrial Apiary with a large bee count no longer hangs the server. Looking at a running controller no longer costs FPS and network bandwidth. The bee list in its interface is aggregated by species and production speed, stripped of the NBT it does not need, and paginated at 36 per page.

204004 identical queens folded into one slot, which is what stopped the sync packet overflowing

The interface was rebuilt on ModularUI2. Its bee list takes part in NEI's inventory search: double-click the NEI search field to switch it on, and every bee that does not match greys out. An icon appears when there is no room for another bee.

The ModularUI2 interface while the apiary runs, with each comb and the rate it comes out at

The structure is now symmetric, so an existing Mega Apiary has to be rebuilt to the new shape. It takes any OreDict plankWood or slabWood now instead of only the six vanilla wood types. The controller fills in its water itself.

Industrial Laser Engraver

The Hyper-Intensity Laser Engraver's beam no longer speeds up with your frame rate or disappears when you stand next to it, and it is drawn correctly in every orientation, including upside-down. Its tooltip now says that a UEV or higher laser source allows one multi-amp energy hatch in place of regular energy hatches; it used to name UEV alone.

Large Molecular Assembler

The Large Molecular Assembler can take its patterns from a new Crafting Pattern Provider bus, whose patterns show up in the Interface Terminal and can be edited there. Patterns in ordinary input buses still work but do not show up. The bus comes in IV, LuV, ZPM, UV and UHV versions holding 36, 45, 63, 81 and 99 patterns, and it takes only crafting patterns. The Interface Terminal's crafting-interface filter lists the LMA. The LMA no longer rescans its patterns every second and puts its patterns back on the network when a lost channel comes back. Its GUI was ported to ModularUI2.

Laser power transmission

The Lapotronic Supercapacitor no longer explodes when you raise the amperage limit of one of its laser target hatches. An Active Transformer fed by several laser hatches drains them in turn, so it no longer voids energy while filling one big laser hatch from several smaller, partly full ones. Changing a target hatch's amperage limit re-checks the structure, so an Advanced Assembly Line uses the new limit on its next run.

Laser source and target hatches have a ModularUI2 GUI. Rotating a laser or data hatch updates the pipe connections next to it. The deprecated laser hatches that were hidden from NEI are removed from the game. Laser Containment Casings have connected textures. Laser Vacuum Pipes no longer send sync packets while idle.

Nano Forge

The T4 Nano Forge takes Advanced Iridium Plated Machine Casing where it used to take Europium Reinforced Radiation Proof Machine Casing, so a standing T4 Nano Forge needs those casings swapped before it forms again. Research Station

The Research Station runs every recipe the Scanner can, bee scanning included, and takes an optional input hatch for the fluids those recipes need. Its results go to an output bus, which it needs in order to run unless safe void is on. An output bus, input hatch or maintenance hatch can also take the place of the two casings beside the controller. It consumes the data stick and fluid when the research starts. When computation drops out, it gets a one-second grace window and a four-second decay before the progress is lost.

Breaking the Object Holder before the research finishes stops the research; it used to finish anyway without consuming the item. The Research Station, Dangote Distillus, Matter Fabrication CPU and High Current Industrial Arc Furnace have a mode button in their GUI. Multiblock toggle-button tooltips share one style.

The Tinkers inventory tab moves to Baubles

Tinkers' Construct accessories now go in bauble slots instead of the Tinkers' inventory tab, which is gone. The Travel Belt and Travel Glove fit any bauble slot. The red, yellow and green Heart Canisters each have a bauble slot of their own that holds up to ten. A new universal bauble slot takes an amulet, ring, belt, charm or head bauble. Items left in the old tab are moved to bauble slots, or to your inventory or the ground when there is no room. Like any bauble, the canisters drop on death. Wearing a block or torch on your head moved to Cosmetic Armor Reworked, new in this release, whose head slots take any block.

Text, menus and the window title

The welcome message a server sends now shows in each player's own language instead of the server's. On zh_CN, zh_TW and zh_HK the pause menu's Wiki button opens the Chinese GTNH wiki. BartWorks bacterial culture names, as shown on Petri Dishes, DNA Flasks and Plasmid Cells, can be translated. Assembler recipes that took any plank or log, such as the Iron Chests wood upgrades and the JABBA barrel, show as one NEI entry that cycles through the wood types instead of one per wood. The modpack version in the window title can be set with displayedModpackVersion in config/DreamCoreMod.properties.

GUI titles localised across the pack

GUI titles and labels across many mods now come from their own language keys. Labels that were hardcoded English, such as Blood Magic's Teleposer and Alchemic Chemistry Set, SGCraft's power units and Project Red's timer and counter gates, now follow the game language. Titles that already used the block's name have a key of their own, so a resource pack can rename or recolour them without changing the item.

Dynamic localization for machine tooltips

Transformers and Power Transformers now carry the standard voltage name: the EV one is the Extreme Voltage Transformer, the UHV one the Highly Ultimate Voltage Transformer. Battery Buffers from UEV up gain the word Voltage the same way. The UEV Chest Buffer no longer calls itself Ultra High Voltage. Hi-Amp Transformers from UHV up use the short tier name like the lower ones, as in UHV Hi-Amp Transformer.

Machine names and tooltips are read from the language files each time they are shown, so they follow a language change without a restart. Text that stayed English in other languages is now translated, among it multiblock structure labels such as Glass Tier and Heating Coil Tier, fluid cell names and the Rock Breaker's NEI item. On a server, the drills and the Drone Centre show their shutdown reason in the player's language rather than the server's.

Multiblock tooltips ported to markdown

The tooltips of the Fusion Control Computers and Compact Fusion Computers, the Assembly Line, Advanced Assembly Line and Circuit Assembly Line, the Void Miners, the Eye of Harmony, the Planetary Gas Siphon, the Cryogenic Freezer, the Algae Pond, the Charcoal Pit and the Cleanroom were rewritten shorter and colour-coded. The Large Rocket Engine and the Universal Chemical Fuel Engine were recoloured to match. The Industrial Arc Furnace now heads each of its two modes with a coloured title. Multiblock tooltips across GoodGenerator, TecTech, KekzTech, KubaTech and the Space Elevator now come from the language files, structure lines included, so they show translated in other languages.

Unify schematic GUI localization

The NASA Workbench schematic pages, from the Tier 1 to Tier 8 rockets to the Cargo Rocket, Astro Miner and Shuttle, all print their title in white in the same spot. Each title comes from a schematic.* language key rather than the rocket item's name, so a translation or resource pack can change it.

Unpainted GregTech machine blocks show their textures' own colours, without the light blue-grey tint they had in 2.8.4. That tint now applies only to GUIs: Machine Metal defaults to white, and the old value moved to a new Gui Metal entry. Both sit in GregTech's client config under Color Modulation. A resource pack can set each one separately.

Consolidate leaf decay into GTNHLib

Forestry leaves more than 4 leaf blocks from a log now decay when a nearby log is broken. Forestry's own check used to keep leaves up to 8 blocks out. The decay check comes from GTNHLib and stops at the first log it reaches. Et Futurum Requiem, Forbidden Magic, Galaxy Space and Tainted Magic leaves use it with their old ranges, and so do vanilla, Biomes O' Plenty, Thaumcraft, Harvest the Nether and Witchery leaves through Hodgepodge's speedupLeafDecay option, which is on by default.

GT++ texture deduplication and fixes

  • #5617 The 'Structure is too complex!' line is gone from all controller descriptions. The author considered it useless and confusing. - @danyadev

remove the 'Structure is too complex!' line from all controller descriptions

  • #5616 Fluid pipes no longer reconnect to adjacent pipes when input is re-enabled on a disconnected side, preventing accidental fluid intake. - @danyadev

  • #5860 [world data] GT5-Unofficial now depends on ChunkAPI and EndlessIDs, and NotEnoughIds is removed. The heating coil active-state rendering now goes through ChunkAPI. This needs the matching ChunkAPI, EndlessIDs and FalsePatternLib versions in the pack, and the PR says it breaks dailies until DAXXL is updated. - @Cardinalstars

    • What to do: Back up the world, then remove NotEnoughIds and install the newest ChunkAPI, EndlessIDs and FalsePatternLib together with this version.
  • #8227 [recipes changed] Field Restriction Coils T1 to T3 now take one stack of 64 of the next thicker superconductor wire instead of two stacks of the old wire (T1 2x ZPM, T2 4x UV, T3 8x UHV), so patterns no longer need renaming for AAL. The wafers rise in tier across the coils, 32 of each: PPIC for T1, QPIC for T2 (was 48 PPIC) and FPIC for T3 (was 64 PPIC). The T4 coil is not part of this change. - @Auynonymous

    • What to do: Re-encode your Field Restriction Coil T1 to T3 patterns and supply the thicker wire and the QPIC and FPIC wafers. Existing data sticks keep working.
  • #8069 [recipes changed] The Reprecipitated Rhodium recipe no longer needs a circuit in the input slot. The recipe has no input conflicts, so the circuit did nothing. A setup that feeds it Programmed Circuit 2 will need adjusting. - @Armisael5

    • What to do: Take the circuit out of any automation that feeds this recipe.
  • #7803 [recipes changed] The UV Machine Hull recipes now use 4x Naquadah Alloy Cable instead of 4x Naquadah Alloy Wire. This applies to both the crafting table recipe and the assembler recipe. - @Nana-Sakura

    • What to do: Stock Naquadah Alloy Cable for UV Machine Hull crafting instead of wire, and update any automation that feeds wire into those recipes.
  • #7863 The three arc furnace electrode recipes run in the normal Compressor recipe map. One has no compression tier and two need compression tier 2 (Black Hole). - @Ruling-0

Darkerer

  • #2 Darkerer, the hardcore darkness mod, is client-side only now, and its config is yours: you can change any option in it, including turning the darkness off. Server enforcement was added in July, so a server running Darkerer turned away any player who did not have it. That was taken back out in January, and the version in this release enforces nothing. - @JL2210

NotEnoughItems

  • #957 [config] NEI keybindings moved from the NEI settings screen to the vanilla Controls screen. They are now registered as normal Minecraft key bindings under the nei.options.keys names. - @slprime

    • What to do: After updating, set your NEI keys again in the vanilla Controls screen; custom binds from the old NEI settings screen are not carried over.
